Because his father, Lion Balaram, was a fighter himself, Vijay Deverakonda is known as Liger. Since his mother, Balamani (Ramya Krishna), describes herself as a tigress, he is a lion-tiger hybrid, thus the name Liger.
Balamani is undoubtedly a tiger parent who aspires for her baby to surpass his father in size and ability. She then travels to Mumbai and asks Ronit Roy’s character, who plays a renowned MMA instructor, to accept him as a student.
Liger is so naturally talented that he defeats all of his master’s pupils right away. He often receives advice from his mother and coach to steer clear of women, but he unavoidably develops feelings for social media star Tanya (Ananya Panday), who is a pampered affluent brat.
However, in a humorous turn of events, she rejects him because he has a speech defect. But wait—near the end, it’s revealed that she was merely pretending to despise him, making him detest her and fueling his desire to be the best MMA fighter ever.

It’s true that the combat choreography is fantastic. Every fight scenario, whether it takes place in the ring, the gym, or with Mike Tyson, is well written. However, it is difficult to imagine how Vijay Deverakonda could defeat someone as big and strong as Mike Tyson.
The film’s action sequences, however, are its strongest feature. And Vijay Deverakonda has put a lot of effort into perfecting his punches, kicks, and fighting posture. He seems to be a perfect MMA fighter. But not even his well-lubricated, well-muscled shoulders can save this movie from stumbling.

Liger is an example of opportunity lost, all things considered. Since Vijay Deverakonda is a real celebrity, he might have wished for a better movie to make his Bollywood debut than Liger. His unending charm and commitment alone are insufficient to improve it.
